Lost head solid brass nails have been used by generations of shoemakers.
These nails have thin, only 0,9 mm shank (wire gauge 19) and they are specially polished and treated for smooth shank and tip so they do not cut or tear apart leather while lasting. Because of thickness and the material itself (brass is much softer than iron) they easily bend so they are suitable for soft lasts and gentle hammering.
They are made of solid brass.
